About Me

Hey, my name is Wyatt. As I write this, I am a junior at the University of Michigan, studying American Culture and Writing.

I am passionate about dedicating myself to positive work in my communities. I am passionate about learning and growing. I'm constantly looking to better myself and those around me.

I grew up in a large 10 building cooperative in Chelsea, Manhattan, in New York City. I grew up close with my New York community and my neighbors, deciding somewhere along the way that I wanted to do something with my life that would contribute to it in a positive  way.

I focus a lot of my work on New York, its issues, its inequalities, and ways in which New Yorkers can work to close certain disparities. As I research and write, I learn a lot that I hope to use in meaningful ways down the line.

I hope you can learn a thing or two as well by reading through my ePortfolio.

Check out my short essay on why I write, as of the end of what has been a meaningful and worthwhile Fall semester.

Also, you can check out the blogs I have been writing throughout this semester in Minor. I have written 10 blog posts this semester, all of which detail certain aspects of my writing that has changed or improved over the course of the last few months.
